Good morning, Hamilton County. The Cincinnati skyline is undergoing a remarkable transformation as the former Macy's headquarters tower reopens its doors—not as a retail space, but as 341 luxury apartments with panoramic views. Now called 7 West 7th, the 21-story building represents what Mayor Pureval calls "the largest housing project in the city," with monthly rents spanning from $1,518 to $5,290. The developers aren't stopping there, with plans to convert the iconic Carew Tower into apartments next.

While downtown evolves, residents should prepare for potentially severe weather conditions coming Thursday, April 17, with National Weather Service warnings already issued. In more uplifting news, Katelyn Cotton is making history as the first Marian Spencer Scholar to graduate from UC this spring. The impressive political science major entered university with 93 college credits already completed and plans to continue her academic journey through master's studies before law school.
