Geauga County • April 4, 2025
Good morning, Geauga County. April showers bring more than just May flowers—they usher in a season of renewal and protection across our community. As county commissioners recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month, there's a powerful story behind those 329 investigations conducted last year: unlike other Ohio counties, Geauga is successfully keeping families together while planning a new $6-7 million Youth Center to provide better local treatment options for our youngest residents.
Nature and nostalgia take center stage this month as well. From the curiously named "Snipe Hunt and Twilight Timberdoodle Sky Dance" at Frohring Meadows to multiple pancake breakfasts supporting worthy causes, spring is bursting with community connections. Music lovers won't want to miss hometown hero Jayce Hein's return from Nashville on April 12, bringing his acoustic storytelling to Burton's Schoolyard Studio—complete with a free workshop for aspiring young musicians the day before.
