Good morning, Geauga County. The legacy of a life well-lived echoes throughout our community this week as we remember Larry Luoma, whose remarkable 44-year career took him across continents while his heart remained firmly anchored to his family. The Huntsburg Township resident's passion for golf, horseshoes, and quality time with loved ones reminds us that true success extends far beyond professional achievements.
Looking forward, two significant events are approaching on our community calendar. Young Black men ages 13-18 will find empowerment at the second annual Black Male Teen Summit on April 19, offering workshops on everything from financial literacy to emotional intelligence. Meanwhile, shoppers can circle May 8 on their calendars as Meijer prepares to open its doors in Richmond Heights, bringing a 159,000-square-foot retail destination complete with everything from fresh bakery items to garden supplies.
