Good morning, Gallia County. Summer reading isn't just about beach novels anymore—it's about yellow brick roads and wizard wands! Bossard Library is transforming June into a magical adventure with its "Wizard of Oz" themed Summer Reading Program. Friday's kickoff celebration promises costume contests and performances, while the month ahead features everything from Holocaust survivor stories to beekeeping insights with local expert Chris Blank.

The musical spirit continues beyond library walls as gospel star Ivan Parker prepares to headline "Praise Along the River" on June 29. The riverside worship event, now in its fourth year, consistently draws over 200 attendees to Point Pleasant's Riverfront Park. Meanwhile, Gallia Academy graduate Keagahn Lloyd is forging his future at Hobart Institute of Welding thanks to the Andrea Voss Memorial Scholarship—a fitting tribute to an educator who championed technical education in Appalachia for 16 years.
