Good morning, Franklin County. Move over, Hollywood—Columbus is making its mark on the silver screen! The locally produced film "Down to the Felt" begins its theatrical run next week at Studio 35, showcasing our city's filmmaking talent. Director Jon Osbeck's action-comedy-thriller represents more than entertainment; it's a chance to establish Columbus as a legitimate production hub outside traditional markets. Strong attendance at screenings (which include filmmaker Q&As) could help put our creative community on the map.
While our arts scene flourishes, Columbus Metropolitan Library is addressing a critical community need through its partnership with Children's Hunger Alliance. Starting September 2, sixteen library branches will offer free nutritious after-school snacks to combat childhood food insecurity. And for chicken sandwich enthusiasts, there's tasty news too—Chick-fil-A has revealed locations for three new restaurants as part of its continued expansion throughout Central Ohio.
