Good morning, Franklin County. From food truck to award-winning restaurateur, Victor Omar D'Angelo's journey embodies the American dream with an Argentine accent. The Barroluco owner, who weathered the pandemic while opening a second establishment, has been named Ohio Small Business Person of the Year—proving his claim that his business is indeed "bulletproof." D'Angelo's community-focused approach and resilience have earned him a trip to Washington DC, where he'll represent Ohio in the national competition on May 5.
The cultural calendar is filling up faster than a downtown parking garage during rush hour. Lin-Manuel Miranda's revolutionary "Hamilton" arrives for a two-week residency at the Ohio Theatre this July, with tickets ranging from $49 to $199 (and a lottery for forty $10 seats). Not to be outdone, the Columbus Symphony just announced their star-studded 2025 summer lineup featuring Rick Ross, Tower of Power, and a musical tribute to Dolly Parton that promises to make those warm evenings even hotter.
