🚀 Stellar inclusivity

Good morning, Fayette County. In the quiet moments between community celebrations, it's often the thoughtful accommodations that speak volumes about our values. The Highland County Fair's addition of an adult changing table this year represents exactly that kind of progress—creating inclusive spaces where everyone can enjoy our cherished traditions. This spirit of care stands in stark contrast to the heartbreaking news from Jackson County, where 25-year-old Officer Matthew Juniper's life was cut tragically short after a golf cart accident early Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, a new face is orbiting the hallways of East Clinton Local Schools. Archy the Astronaut has officially touched down, bringing with him a clever acronym representing the district's core values: Authentic, Receptive, Connected, Hardworking—and You. Created by four innovative high school seniors, this cosmic mascot is already making appearances at sporting events and community gatherings, uniting students under one stellar identity.

♿ Highland County Fair adds adult changing table for inclusive access. The Highland County Board of DD partnered with Gallia County to provide a mobile changing station at this year's fair. Located near the main bathrooms, the facility features wheelchair accessibility, an adult-size changing table, and privacy doors. This accommodation serves individuals with mobility needs who require changing assistance during the community event. Highland County officials are actively seeking grants and donations to purchase their own changing station for future community events.
