Fayette County • July 17, 2025
Good morning, Fayette County. The legacy of agricultural excellence continues to shine bright in our community as Highland teen Carly Sanders recently made her mark on the national stage. Her impressive Top 15 finish in Showmanship at the Angus Junior Nationals in Tulsa represents not just personal achievement, but carries forward our county's proud farming traditions. While Carly was "Moovin' Down Route 66" with her prize heifer, plans were taking shape closer to home for events that strengthen our community bonds.
Among these upcoming gatherings, the seventh annual Verne Haugen Memorial Charity Golf Tournament tees off August 15th, supporting the YMCA's mission to make programs accessible to all. And for those tracking culinary developments, Wisconsin-based Culver's is bringing its famous ButterBurgers and frozen custard to New Albany this October, marking its fifth Central Ohio location. Those crinkle-cut fries will soon be just a short drive away!
