The Fayette County market in Washington Court House, Ohio now features seasonal vegetables including asparagus, onions, lettuce, and rhubarb. Local vendors also offer ground beef, homemade cookies, and handcrafted items like crochet blankets and wax melts. The market runs from 3-6 p.m. in the TSC parking lot on Columbus Avenue and accepts various payment methods including charge cards, debit cards, and farmers market coupons for seniors and WIC recipients.
🎣 Ohio's lakes beckon anglers with trophy fish this summer. The state offers excellent fishing opportunities for perch, bass, crappie, and catfish across numerous public waterways, according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife. Clear Fork Reservoir stands out as one of the state's premier largemouth bass locations, while Pleasant Hill Reservoir delivers exceptional crappie fishing. Residents can fish license-free during Free Fishing Days on June 14-15, and youth under 16 never need a license. 🍽️ Free meals roll out on the Big Blue Bus this summer. The community service will provide hot lunches and next-day breakfasts to children ages 1-18 at 12 locations throughout Washington Court House and surrounding areas. Operating Monday through Friday until August 1, 2025 (excluding July 4 and fair week), the program has already served over 632,000 free meals since 2019. Families can visit designated stops at various community locations including churches, parks, and Washington High School to pick up the grab-and-go meal boxes at scheduled times throughout the day.
