The Animals Golf Tournament on June 6 at Buckeye Hills Country Club. Beginning with an 8 a.m. check-in and 9 a.m. shotgun start, the scramble-format event includes 18 holes of golf, meals, contests, and prizes for the $250 per foursome registration fee. All proceeds directly support the Humane Society's programs providing food, shelter, and veterinary care for homeless and neglected animals in Fayette County. Registration closes May 30, with sponsorship opportunities available until May 22.

Two applications for The Crossings development were approved, including a replat connecting Crossings Drive from behind LCNB Bank to near Holiday Inn Express. Love's Travel Stop received approval for its preliminary plat at U.S. 35 and State Route 753, with construction likely beginning in early 2026 on a 17-acre portion of a 42-acre lot.

🎨 Artist begins painting vibrant floral mural in nighttime ceremony. Duane Richard started the artwork on the side of Flor & Co. flower shop in Washington Court House, Ohio, projecting the design onto the building under darkness. The mural, located at the corner of Court and Main streets, will transform the gray building wall with colorful flowers. Richard, assisted by Megan Downing, expects the project to take approximately three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
