Good morning, Fayette County. Trees are taking root and hope is blooming across our community this spring. Washington Court House celebrated Arbor Day with a special tree planting ceremony at the high school, launching a new community tree nursery through the FFA chapter while continuing its commitment as a Tree City USA. The city plans to add 100 more trees throughout the community—a living investment in our shared environment that will provide shade and beauty for generations.

The theme of planting seeds extends beyond just trees, as mental health advocates prepare to gather on May 15 for the Community Mental Health Planning Meeting. Meanwhile, a family legacy continues to flourish at Court House Rental, which just marked its impressive 40th anniversary of serving local contractors, homeowners, and businesses. The Chamber of Commerce recently honored this milestone for the Denney family business that has become a trusted community fixture since 1985.
