Good morning, Fairfield County. Small-town America comes alive in Millersport's Sweet Corn Festival Parade, where corn-themed hats, candy distributions, and patriotic flag-waving created a quintessential community celebration. Photographer Ty Wright captured these heartwarming moments as residents like five-year-old Jaxon Dalessandri showed that community spirit starts young—proving some traditions remain sweetly unchanged even in our fast-paced world.
While the Salvation Army welcomes new leadership with the impressive credentials of Majors Philip and Jodi Lloyd, motorists are feeling the pinch at local pumps. Gas prices have surged 16 cents to $3.264 per gallon in South Central Ohio, bucking the national downward trend. That's a stark contrast to Mississippi's $2.68 average—perhaps making a southern road trip suddenly more appealing as we head into autumn.
