Good morning, Fairfield County. Central Ohio's housing crisis has reached a critical point, with a staggering 73% of residents reporting housing as too expensive in a new regional survey. The numbers tell a sobering story: one in five families are sacrificing childcare just to keep a roof over their heads. While job prospects maintain a glimmer of optimism, the message from residents is clear – affordable housing, not business development, is the key to economic strength.

A shadow fell over our community Thursday as Fayette County lost Matthew Stoll, 45, in a tragic farming accident involving power lines. Meanwhile, on a lighter note, Canal Winchester's tennis team delivered a flawless performance against Logan, sweeping all five matches in Monday's competition. The Chieftains will look to rebound when they return to the court tomorrow at Groveport.
