πŸŽ’ Hallway harmony

Fairfield County • March 13, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. The hallways of Canal Winchester Schools are noticeably calmer these days, with disciplinary actions plummeting across most campuses. Winchester Trail Elementary is leading the improvement charge, while Indian Trail's numbers reflect the growing pains of implementing new systems and all-day kindergarten. It's a refreshing reminder that sometimes, educational strategies actually work as intendedβ€”with more than half of referred students never returning for a second visit to the principal's office.

Lady Luck has made herself comfortable in our community, blessing one fortunate local with a $50,000 lottery jackpot from a Carroll Circle K. The windfall comes as firefighters battle multiple blazes across the county, from a barn fire on Coonpath Road to field fires stretching across Palmer Road and beyond. With similar incidents in neighboring counties and Ohio's burn ban in full effect until May, residents are urged to keep their distance while emergency crews work to tame the flames.
