🚙 Daycare demolition driver

Fairfield County • March 5, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. In a stark reminder that split-second decisions have lasting consequences, a driver crashed into the Holiday Care Center in Whitehall last weekend, demolishing the entrance before fleeing the scene. While the daycare was mercifully empty at the time, the incident left authorities with a puzzling investigation into what prompted both the collision and the driver's hasty departure.

On a more appetizing note, Teriyaki Madness is heating up the local food scene with its second Columbus-area location now sizzling in Worthington. The Denver-based chain's expansion brings its build-your-own teriyaki bowl concept to North High Street, satisfying cravings for customizable Asian-inspired dishes. With a third location already planned for Dublin, it seems Central Ohio's appetite for teriyaki is nowhere near satisfied – unlike the suspect who immediately surrendered after a shocking shotgun incident captured on police bodycams.

🚗 Driver crashes into Ohio daycare, then flees the scene. A vehicle slammed into Holiday Care Center in Whitehall on March 2 around 7 p.m., completely destroying the entrance. Fortunately, no one was inside the East Side daycare at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported. Police Lieutenant Nick Davis told 614Now that the driver fled after the collision, and authorities are investigating what caused the crash, why the driver ran away, and whether the vehicle was stolen.
