Darrell Carter Jr., 33, was arrested in Canal Winchester, Ohio, after U.S. Marshals found him at a house where he had concealed his dead ex-girlfriend. Instead, he hid her remains under a deflated pool and air mattresses while continuing his daily routine. Now indicted for abuse of a corpse, Carter claimed he expected law enforcement would eventually find him and the body.
