๐Ÿ“š Hollywood meets Dublin

Fairfield County • January 28, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. Move over, Oscar statuette - there's a new golden ticket in this year's nominee gift bags, and it's got local roots! Dublin author Erin Boggs is making waves by landing her immersive Iceland-inspired book alongside the luxury swag destined for stars like Timothรฉe Chalamet and Zoe Saldana. Who knew our corner of Ohio could add such Nordic flair to Hollywood's biggest night?

Meanwhile, Canal Winchester's Miller Farms development is teaching us that good things take time, as City Council hits pause to fine-tune plans for nearly 450 new homes. And in sobering news from Pickerington, a middle school crosswalk incident serves as a stark reminder that our morning routines require extra vigilance when young lives are in the balance.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Canal Winchester hits pause button on massive Miller Farms housing project. City Council postponed voting on a 95-acre development that would bring hundreds of new homes to the area's south end. The developer, Wilcox Communities, recently revised plans to include 118 single-family homes, 221 apartments, and 105 townhomes, along with commercial space. The project promises 35.94 acres of open space and would generate an estimated $1.72 million in annual tax revenue for local schools. Council's delay aims to address resident concerns and allow time for further improvements to the development plan.
