๐Ÿ’” Hearts in mourning

Fairfield County • January 24, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. In the darkest hours before dawn, our community was struck by an unspeakable tragedy that reminds us how precious and fragile life can be. The senseless drive-by shooting that claimed the life of a sleeping 4-year-old girl in Jefferson Township has left our neighbors struggling to comprehend such a devastating loss, as law enforcement works tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.

Meanwhile, Mother Nature seems determined to test our resilience as temperatures plummet into negative territory. But even in these bone-chilling conditions, the spirit of our community endures - from the bundled-up baristas at 7 Brew Coffee serving liquid warmth to dedicated dog walkers like Scott Snider braving Rising Park's snow-covered paths. As dramatic icicles form their winter artwork across our landscape, we're reminded that Fairfield County knows how to weather any storm together.
