🍦 Ice Cream Dreams Melt

Fairfield County • January 22, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. Like a melting ice cream cone on a hot summer day, some business ventures just don't last forever. Buzzed Bull Creamery's boozy ice cream dreams in Powell have officially melted away, leaving dessert enthusiasts and cocktail aficionados alike wondering where they'll get their next alcohol-infused sugar fix. The nitrogen-frozen treat shop's closure marks the end of a brief but spirited two-year adventure.

On a more constructive note, Canal Winchester is literally raising the roof on literacy with its ambitious new library project. The recent "topping out" ceremony for the 30,000-square-foot facility feels like watching a bibliophile's dream take shape in real time. Meanwhile, down in the rolling hills of Hocking, tourism officials are cooking up a grant program that could help local businesses turn their own dreams into reality.

☕️ What's Brewing Locally

🍦 Boozy ice cream shop Buzzed Bull Creamery shutters its only Columbus location. The nitrogen-infused ice cream chain, known for incorporating alcohol into its frozen treats, permanently closed its Powell store after a two-year run. The January 12th closure leaves just one remaining Ohio location near Cincinnati, in the city of Maineville. The company announced the shutdown via Facebook, thanking Powell community members for their support since opening at 50 S. Liberty St. Their Cincinnati Over-The-Rhine location has also reportedly closed its doors.
