🌧️ Cloudy with a chance

Fairfield County • January 16, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. The economic forecast for Central Ohio feels a bit like watching storm clouds gather on the horizon. Economist Bill LaFayette's latest predictions paint a challenging picture for 2025, with workforce hurdles and policy shifts threatening to make things interesting (and not in the fun way) for our region's businesses.

But amid the gloomy forecast, there are bright spots illuminating our community. Just look at Toni Ashton, our newly crowned Public Health Guardian, whose tireless mental health advocacy work proves that one person really can make a difference. While local authorities work to solve a troubling situation on Garfield Avenue, it's champions like Ashton who remind us of the resilience and dedication that define our county.
