β˜• Sweet winter escape

Fairfield County • January 7, 2025

Good morning, Fairfield County. Just in time to rescue us from the winter doldrums, Winans Coffee & Chocolates is bringing its legendary turtle candies and steaming mochas to Marysville. The beloved Ohio chocolatier's Valentine's Day opening feels like Cupid himself planned it, especially as we hunker down through what's turning out to be a particularly dramatic season of "Winter in Ohio."

Speaking of drama, while Mother Nature flexed her muscles with a Level 3 snow emergency that turned Lancaster into a ghost town, the Mullens brothers were creating their own kind of chaos at the county fair's demolition derby. Nothing says family bonding quite like crushing your sibling's car in front of a cheering grandstand - though we imagine their mother might have a different opinion on that particular showing of brotherly love.

Winans Coffee & Chocolates, a cherished establishment since 1961, is set to open its doors at 132 Emmaus Road on February 12th, just in time for Valentine's Day celebrations. The expansion marks the first-ever Winans storefront in Marysville, joining existing Central Ohio locations in German Village, Grandview, and the Short North.
