🍺 Minority brewers get a home base in Columbus. Mecca Beverage House, opening in June at 745 Taylor Ave., will serve as both a production facility and taproom for underrepresented beverage brands. Founded by Sizzle Perry, who established Central Ohio's first Black-owned brewery in 2019, the incubator aims to provide minority-owned businesses with experience in production, taproom operations, and distribution management. Participating brands include Crafted Culture, DFQ Beer Company, Outlaw Ciders, Meulanated Meadery, and Wild Ohio Brewing. Perry hopes the space will allow these businesses to develop before venturing out independently.
