Good morning, Dublin. The landscape of local real estate continues to shift as Toledo's Palace Group makes a strategic move into Central Ohio, acquiring the 126-room Home2 Suites near the bustling I-270 and Route 33 interchange. This $12.5 million February transaction marks an exciting expansion for the developer, who sees "tremendous potential" in our Dublin market as they add an eighth property to their growing hotel portfolio.
Amid this business development, our community faces a sobering reminder about roadway safety following a tragic incident on Columbus's south side. A pedestrian lost his life Wednesday afternoon when a vehicle veered off Marion Road, resulting in serious charges for the teenage driver involved. These contrasting stories—one of economic growth, another of profound loss—reflect the complex tapestry of developments that shape our region day by day.
