Good morning, Dev Test County. The restaurant renaissance sweeping through Dallas proves that even beloved eateries can rise from the ashes. Three local favorites are finding new life as the Heidari brothers rescue both St. Martin's Wine Bistro and Urbano Café with fresh renovations while preserving their cherished character, and Meridian prepares to reopen with chef Eduardo Osorio's seafood-forward vision. These culinary comebacks are giving Dallas diners plenty to celebrate.

In other local developments, the East Dallas breakfast scene gets a delicious boost with Bagel Bros. preparing to open on Garland Road. The Gomez brothers' shop will feature 14 bagel varieties—including an intriguing "French toast" option—plus creative schmears that have nearby apartment dwellers eagerly anticipating their morning carb fix. Meanwhile, law enforcement reports a significant capture, as a suspect on Texas' Most Wanted list was apprehended in Dallas after weeks of searching.

🍽️ Three Dallas restaurants rise from the ashes with new life. St. Martin's Wine Bistro relocated when brothers Pasha and Sina Heidari refused to let their father's French restaurant close permanently. They preserved its classic ambiance while modernizing the menu, attracting enthusiastic crowds. Meanwhile, Meridian in The Village is preparing to reopen under chef Eduardo Osorio, who plans to explore seafood and seasonal dishes in a revamped space. Urbano Café narrowly escaped closure when the Heidari family stepped in, renovating the Italian restaurant and expanding its wine program while keeping the beloved BYOB option.
