Good morning, Darke County. Sirens echoed through Piqua streets this weekend as police responded to a flurry of incidents ranging from domestic disputes to impaired driving arrests. The three-day report reads like a small-town crime drama, with officers handling everything from Walmart shoplifting to child neglect cases—a reminder that even in our quiet communities, law enforcement rarely experiences a dull moment.

Meanwhile, high school football reaches its exciting late-season crescendo as rivalry trophies and playoff positions hang in the balance. The Green Wave will battle for the Little Brown Jug against Sidney, while undefeated Tri-Village (6-0) prepares to face winless Dixie. In a development bringing relief to many, there's positive news from neighboring Miami County, where 16-year-old Olivia Hines has been safely located after disappearing from her Pleasant Hill home last week, concluding a concerning chapter for the teen's family.
