🌸 Blooms against alzheimer's

Good morning, Darke County. More than 100 residents transformed Greenville City Park into a sea of colorful flowers last week, each bloom telling a powerful story in the fight against Alzheimer's. The annual walk represents our community's determination to confront a disease affecting 7 million Americans today—and potentially 13 million by 2050. That same forward-thinking spirit is evident at Honda's Anna Engine Plant, where after four decades of manufacturing excellence, leaders confidently declare "we can build anything here" as they pivot toward an electric vehicle future.

Looking ahead is also the theme at the county level, where commissioners recently approved a 15-year waste management plan ensuring sufficient landfill capacity for our community's needs. The $18,000 contract includes annual reporting through 2028, while a separate $175,000 agreement will modernize the County Auditor and Treasurer's outdated software system. Mark your calendars for the upcoming Shred Day on October 11—a perfect opportunity to securely dispose of sensitive documents.
