Good morning, Cuyahoga County. The digital landscape of Cleveland is evolving with purpose as City Council transitions to a more official online presence. By switching from ".org" to ".gov" domain extensions, council officials are making a deliberate move toward greater transparency and accessibility—a small technical change that represents a larger commitment to building public trust in local government institutions. Meanwhile, staff emails are following suit with the new @clevelandcitycouncil.gov format, though messages to old addresses will still find their way home.

Against this digital backdrop, Ohio's employment market shows concerning signs of cooling. Job postings across the state have plummeted by over 28,000 compared to last year, with Eastern Ohio's four-county region seeing 1,152 fewer openings. The silver lining? Truck drivers and registered nurses remain in high demand, with many regional positions requiring only a high school diploma—potentially good news for job seekers without advanced degrees in our changing economic landscape.

🏙️ Cleveland City Council makes digital shift to boost transparency. The council has changed its website domain from ".org" to ".gov," effective September 30. All council staff email addresses are also transitioning to the new @clevelandcitycouncil.gov format, though messages sent to old addresses will still be received. Officials believe the domain change will make identification easier for residents and public institutions. The council hopes this move will enhance trust and make online resources more accessible to Cleveland's community.
