Good morning, Clermont County. A remarkable transformation is underway along Sharon Creek, where a $1.8 million restoration project is breathing new life into this vital waterway. The ambitious effort includes stabilizing streambanks, reconnecting floodplains, and creating rock riffles to boost oxygen levels for aquatic life. Once completed, this environmental success story will connect to the larger CROWN network, offering both ecological benefits and recreational opportunities for residents.

In stark contrast to these community improvements, troubling news has emerged from Wilmington High School, where a former JV softball coach faces serious charges for allegedly recording nude minors with a hidden camera. Meanwhile, Cincinnati residents are processing several tragic stories making headlines, including a fiery crash that claimed the lives of two beloved teachers. These heartbreaking incidents remind us of the importance of supporting one another through difficult times.

🌊 Sharon Creek's $1.8 million restoration brings life back to vital habitat. The Mill Creek Alliance is revitalizing the one-mile tributary that runs from Mill Creek up to Sharonville, addressing erosion and habitat loss caused by stormwater runoff. Project improvements include stabilizing streambanks, reconnecting floodplains, and building rock riffles to boost oxygen levels for aquatic life. Native vegetation will replace invasive honeysuckle along the creek corridor, creating a beautiful setting for the planned multi-use trail. The restoration, expected to be completed by year's end, will ultimately connect to the CROWN network as part of the Triangle Trail system.
