Good morning, Clermont County. Upscale living has arrived in Deerfield Township with the unveiling of the $70 million Pimlico Pointe development. Blue Ash-based Silverman & Co. has transformed the landscape with these detached single-family rentals, complete with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and attached two-car garages—a significant investment reflecting the region's growing residential appeal.

In other developments, Hamilton County is exploring funding solutions for cultural institutions with a potential cigarette tax similar to Cuyahoga County's model, which could help address the $830 million Paycor Stadium renovation costs. Meanwhile, a heartwarming reminder of everyday heroism emerged from Loveland-Symmes, where working smoke alarms—recently installed through a community program—saved an elderly couple and their dog from a house fire, underscoring how simple safety measures can truly save lives.

🏟️ Hamilton County may tax cigarettes to fund stadiums and museums. Ohio senators have included a provision in the state budget allowing the county to levy a cigarette tax for a "regional arts and culture district." Senator Bill Blessing suggested the tax could ease pressure on sales and property taxes as the county faces $830 million in Paycor Stadium renovations. Similar to Cuyahoga County's model, which has generated about $14 million annually since 2007, the tax could support venues like Cincinnati Museum Center and local sports stadiums. If approved in the state budget, county commissioners would need to vote to place it on the ballot for voters to decide.
