Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was known for his infectious smile, love of math, and adventures with his brother Jay, including playing Fortnite, board games, and imaginative quests. Ian was a student at Crosby Elementary, participated in soccer with Upward league and TCYO, and had many passions including Star Wars, Legos, Marvel Comics, and Harry Potter. He is survived by his parents Jason and Erin, grandparents, extended family, and will be remembered by his classmates and school staff, with services to be held on June 16, 2025, at Legacy Christian Church.

Richard Stewart Rhodes, 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Born on September 23, 1938, in Piedmont, West Virginia, his life will be celebrated with a visitation and service on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Zion Baptist Church on Glenwood Avenue. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, immediately followed by services beginning at 1:00 pm. Walker Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements for the Rhodes family during this difficult time.

T.H. "Poppy" Hill, born December 29, 1938, in Block, Tennessee, passed away on June 12, 2025, surrounded by family. He served as an Airborne Ranger in the Army from 1955 to 1962, reaching the rank of Sergeant E-5, and later worked as an electrician at Ford Motor Company. Known for his resilience, selflessness, and dedication to family and community, Poppy was married to Linda Lou Hill for 58 years and is survived by his two sons, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation and funeral services will be held on June 24-25, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, Ohio.

Gilbert Harry Greber, 91, of Mount Orab, Ohio, passed away on June 11, 2025, after a life dedicated to family and community. A proud Navy veteran who served from 1956 to 1960, Gilbert later built a successful career in quality control at Cincinnati Gas & Electric. He was a devoted husband to Joan, an avid Cincinnati Reds fan who enjoyed fishing and yard work, and leaves behind a son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on June 17 at Grace Baptist Church, followed by burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Viola is survived by her son, grandchildren, sister, and numerous nieces and nephews, while being preceded in death by her husband John, parents, brother, and sister. An avid card player, sports fan, talented dancer, and gardening enthusiast, Viola found joy in simple pleasures and made her home a gathering place filled with laughter and love.

David Jennings Routt, 83, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his parents Woody and Mable, his brother Richard, and his sister Janice. David is survived by his son Scott and daughter-in-law Rebecca, two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. A former Cincinnati Bell lineman, David enjoyed golf, fishing, and woodworking, and will be remembered at a funeral service on June 16, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, Kentucky.
