👮 Four white male Cincinnati police officers sue over alleged discrimination. The lawsuit claims Police Chief Teresa Theetge denied them promotions and preferred assignments because of their race and gender. According to the officers, minority lieutenants received preferred assignments at nearly double the rate of white male lieutenants (79% vs 44%). The Sentinel Police Association president questioned the lawsuit's claims, noting white males still hold the numerical advantage in the department. One of the officers previously settled a similar discrimination lawsuit against the city for $75,000.
