Good morning, Clermont County. The restaurant landscape is shifting around Cincinnati, with Kroger's Kitchen 1883 concept closing two locations later this month. Named for the year Barney Kroger launched his grocery empire, the comfort food restaurants in Union, Kentucky and Anderson Township will serve their final meals on April 24, leaving only the Over-the-Rhine location to carry the culinary torch. Meanwhile, By Golly's is expanding its footprint with a new Springfield location opening April 23, bringing its popular burgers, wings and laid-back atmosphere to the former Rooster's space.

If you're dreaming of your next home upgrade, mark your calendars for Homearama 2025. The luxury home showcase returns to Cincinnati proper for only the second time in its 62-year history, featuring seven high-end residences in Oakley's Foundry Park at Three Oaks subdivision. These impressive three to four-story homes will showcase rooftop decks, elevators and sustainable design, with price tags between $1.4-$1.7 million during the September 27-October 12 event.

🍽️ Kroger's restaurant concept shutters all but one location. Kitchen 1883, which began as "a fresh take on American comfort food" in 2017, will close its Union, Kentucky and Anderson Township restaurants on April 24. Only the Over-the-Rhine location in Cincinnati will remain open. The concept, named for the year Barney Kroger opened his first grocery store, expanded from its original Kentucky location to eventually include three restaurants. "This decision was not easy," the company stated, inviting patrons to visit one last time before the closures.

The American fare restaurant will open its first Dayton-area location on April 23, taking over the former Rooster's space on Bechtle Avenue. Epic Eats CEO Lance Sizemore and COO Heather Frye have rapidly grown the brand since acquiring it in 2023, with Springfield becoming their fourth location. The 5,500-square-foot restaurant will serve fresh-made burgers, wings, and hoagies while embodying their motto "festive mood, great food" with a laid-back atmosphere.
