Good morning, Clermont County. The legendary roar of The Beast is about to get smoother as Kings Island prepares for its 53rd season with major upgrades. When the park opens April 19, thrill-seekers can experience Ohio's first dual-racing water coaster, RiverRacers, reaching speeds of 30 mph, while the iconic wooden roller coaster enjoys track replacements affecting over 20% of its layout. Soak City waterpark also gets a complete refresh, making this the perfect season to dive back into Ohio's premier amusement destination.

Amid political drama downtown, where Cincinnati's mayoral debate saw just two candidates trading barbs over housing and diversity initiatives, there's a heartwarming story of resilience emerging from the Boys & Girls Club. After losing her grandfather during COVID, teenager Delayna Brown found crucial emotional support at the West Chester/Liberty club, where she developed skills that transformed her grief into aspiration—she now plans to become an OB/GYN focused on women's health.

🗣️ Cincinnati's mayoral debate turned fiery as only two candidates showed up.Mayor Pureval and Republican candidate Brian Frank clashed over housing, diversity initiatives, and traffic safety measures during the NAACP-hosted event. Frank controversially stated he wouldn't focus on housing as mayor, which Pureval called "gobsmacking," while emphasizing it remains a critical city issue. The debate grew particularly tense when discussing DEI initiatives, with Pureval declaring Frank's reluctance to take a position "disqualifying." Personal jabs dominated the question-asking portion, with Frank making allegations about the city manager and Pureval mocking Frank's distinctive wide-brimmed hat.
