💻 Digital footprints matter

Clermont County • March 5, 2025

Good morning, Clermont County. Behind every headline about threatening social media posts lies a stark reminder of digital accountability. A 29-year-old Union Township man is facing serious charges after allegedly targeting a fellow churchgoer with explicit videos and disturbing messages—a sobering case that has detectives searching for additional victims while reinforcing the permanent nature of our online footprints.

On a more uplifting note, the ripples of compassion continue long after we're gone. When sisters established the Karen Sanders Nursing Scholarship to honor their mother's 30-year nursing career, they never imagined recipient Stephanie Neff would end up caring for Karen in her final days—a beautiful full-circle moment. Meanwhile, Tender Mercies is reimagining supportive housing in OTR with an $8.9 million development that will replace shared facilities with private efficiency apartments, giving residents dignity through independence rather than just shelter.

🏠 New Pleasant House will transform OTR supportive housing. Tender Mercies plans to replace its outdated facility at 1440 Pleasant Street with a $8.9 million four-story building offering 25 efficiency apartments. Unlike the current single-room occupancy model where residents share bathrooms and kitchens, the new development will provide private living spaces promoting independence and full handicap accessibility. Over-the-Rhine Community Housing is developing the project, which has secured a $1.25 million commitment from Cincinnati. Construction could begin in March 2026, pending approval of federal low-income housing tax credits.
