Joan M. Barker, 91, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Barker. She was a University of Cincinnati Fine Arts graduate who devoted her life to her family, including her five children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A woman of Catholic faith who was known for her loving and generous nature, Joan enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time at Lake Charlevoix and Captiva Island. Her funeral service will be held on March 7, 2025, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Cincinnati.

Robert J. Mueller

Robert J. Mueller passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of Helen Ann Mueller for 67 years and a loving father to six children. Robert was also a devoted grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 24. His funeral service will be held on March 6, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison, Ohio, with burial following at St. Joseph New Cemetery.

Carolyn Joi Peterman-Menke

Carolyn Joi Menke-Peterman (née Jackson) passed away at age 95 on February 27, 2025. She was the widow of both Thomas Peterman and Richard Menke, and is survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and step-sister Nancy Maurer. The family will hold a visitation on March 5 at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, followed by gravesite services at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Cincinnati.

Ida Schwartz, 95, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on February 28, 2025, just three days after her 95th birthday. A devoted wife to the late Irvin L. Schwartz, she is survived by her four children, Barry, Fran, Rabbi Julie, and Beth, along with her sister Barbara. Ida was a loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren and great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at Weil Kahn Funeral Home on March 2, followed by burial at United Jewish Cemetery Montgomery and shiva at Temple Sholom.

Donna Rae Caldwell, 76, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Loveland, Ohio. Born on November 2, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she will be remembered through visitation on March 6 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Milford, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on March 7 at the same location, followed by interment at Graceland Memorial Gardens. Walker Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements for the Caldwell family.

After nearly 60 years of marriage to her late husband Billy, she leaves behind her son Michael, grandchildren Ashley and Ryan, and extended family. Known for her generous nature, Iris was passionate about hosting gatherings, particularly her famous Christmas parties, and maintained meaningful connections through handwritten notes and cards. An arts enthusiast who loved animals, especially cats, Iris will be remembered for her kindness and warmth at services scheduled for March 5, 2025, at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Evelyn A. Ruffner-Magerko (née Richter), born January 1, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Rick Magerko, her parents Howard and Ezzie Richter, and her brothers Howardy and Butch Richter. Evelyn is survived by her siblings Gary Richter and Patty Amendt, her children Katie, Charlie, Kevin Ruffner and Tricia Meece-Doyle, as well as six grandchildren and many extended family members. Services will be held at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home with visitation on March 6th and a funeral blessing on March 7th.

Randall Smith of Milford, OH passed away on February 24, 2025, at 87 years old, just days before his 88th birthday. He was a loving family man who is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judith, as well as numerous children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Randall was deeply involved in his church and enjoyed activities such as golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, yard work, watching sports, and participating in his Masonic Lodge. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church in Milford on March 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Carolyn Regina Criswell, born in Cincinnati and raised in Avondale, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025. Known for her boundless love and tireless work ethic, she worked in factories and nursing to support her three sons and four grandchildren. Carolyn was cherished for her warm spirit and generosity at family and community gatherings. She is preceded in death by her mother Gloria Criswell and brother Vernon "Bunny" Fears, and survived by siblings Charles, LaShawn, and Floria, who will carry forward her memory.

Charles Randall Singer, known as "Randy," passed away on February 23, 2025, at age 72 after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Madisonville, Randy earned a Masters of Education from Northern Kentucky University and taught music at St. Francis DeSales and Maple Dale Elementary. He was a talented musician who served as music director at St. Anthony Church in Madisonville for many years, known for his creative student productions and "joyful noise" with the church choir. A memorial service will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church on March 9, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Jeffrey Ernest Koopman, 65, of Guilford, IN, passed away on February 17, 2025, leaving behind his wife Bobbi of forty years, three children, and five siblings. A civil engineer by training, Jeff worked for 31 years with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission followed by 14 years as a civilian with the US Air Force managing construction projects worldwide. He was known for his woodworking talent, ability to fix anything, and his willingness to help others. Visitation will be held March 6 at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home in Harrison, OH, with memorial donations directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Morris McCormick Jr., 85, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away on February 26, 2025, in Florence, Kentucky. Born on June 25, 1939, in Dayton, Kentucky, his family has not yet scheduled a funeral or memorial service but will notify loved ones when arrangements are made. Nancy Carolyn Simmons, wife of the late Richard Simmons for over 40 years, passed away on February 27, 2025, at age 88. She is survived by her five children, 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, two siblings, and numerous other family members. Nancy was a devoted homemaker who created a warm environment for her family, always offering homemade cookies and hugs to visitors. Her life was enriched by her marriage, travels with her husband, and active participation in church and the red hat ladies. Services will be held on March 3-4, 2025, with memorial contributions requested to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

William C. Smith, 85, passed away on February 27, 2025, after working as a respected operations manager at Norton Outdoor Advertising. Known affectionately as "Oink" for his pig memorabilia collection, Bill was an avid card player, bowler, and golfer who loved adventures with family. He was a devoted husband to his late wife Delores and a loving father to six daughters, as well as grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather to 58 descendants. A visitation will be held March 10 at Evans Funeral Home, followed by a Mass on March 11 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton with burial at Graceland Memorial Gardens.

Deborah Lynn West, 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025. Born on November 28, 1954, in Cincinnati, Deborah's family has not yet scheduled a funeral or memorial service but will notify loved ones when arrangements are made. After the service, interment will take place at Landmark Memorial Gardens, with arrangements being handled by Walker Funeral Home and Crematory.
