Good morning, Westerville. From grief springs adventure in "Abby's List: A Dogumentary," the heartwarming film now streaming nationwide. Columbus broadcaster Mark Sutherland transformed his aging whippet's final years into an unexpected three-year journey across America that captivated millions before hitting theaters. What began as a simple bucket list blossomed into sailing expeditions, national park visits, and even a meeting with Jack Hanna—proving it's never too late for new adventures, even for a 14-year-old dog.

The spirit of transformation continues throughout our community. The historic 5th Ave Floral Co. on Kenny Road is set to bloom in a new way as developers plan to convert the longtime flower shop into a boutique hotel near Ohio State. Meanwhile, at the Riffe Gallery, "A Common Thread" weaves together the talents of 16 Ohio fiber artists who've incorporated pieces of the late Sue Cavanaugh's final installation into their own meditative creations—a beautiful tapestry of artistic legacy on display through October 3.

🐶 Filmmaker turns dog's final years into heartwarming cross-country adventure. Mark Sutherland, a Columbus-based broadcaster, created "Abby's List: A Dogumentary" when he realized his 14-year-old whippet was aging. What began as a simple bucket list with his dog Abby turned into a three-year journey that saw them sailing, visiting national parks, and meeting Jack Hanna. The documentary, which captured Abby seemingly "aging in reverse" during their adventures, went viral with over 5 million views before securing theatrical release. Now streaming on major platforms, the film documents an unexpected journey that Sutherland describes as "magical" and filled with moments that "shouldn't have happened but did."
