Anduril Industries received a $310 million JobsOhio grant on Wednesday, adding to previous tax incentives for their planned facility in Pickaway County. The California-based defense company pledged to create over 4,000 jobs with a $530 million payroll while investing $910.5 million in the new plant. Set to begin production in July 2026, the facility is expected to generate more than $2 billion in economic output over the next decade. Anduril manufactures AI-powered weapons systems, autonomous drones, and other defense technologies for the U.S. military and allies.

Metro Parks public information officer Jill Snyder called the National Geographic feature "a major feather in the cap" for the park system.
