Good morning, Westerville. The aroma of authentic Italian cuisine will soon be wafting through the Short North as B.J. Lieberman and Bronwyn Haines prepare to open Metsi's in June. This "red sauce joint" pays homage to Lieberman's New York roots and Mets-fan father, bringing metropolitan Italian flavors to the two-floor space at 36 E. Lincoln St. โ€” though pizza lovers should note this wood-fired establishment deliberately leaves that particular Italian staple off the menu.

While one local culinary chapter begins, Easton Town Center is writing an entirely new retail story with over a dozen fresh shops and restaurants transforming the popular Columbus destination. First-in-Ohio locations like Vuori and Todd Snyder join recently opened Allen Edmonds and Mastro's steakhouse. Meanwhile, in agricultural education circles, the Zane Trace FFA chapter has harvested prestigious recognition, earning a Gold Rating that places them among the top 10% of chapters statewide โ€” a testament to their year-round community engagement.

๐Ÿ Chef revives Short North space with Italian restaurant Metsi's. B.J. Lieberman and Bronwyn Haines, already owners of Chapman's Eat Market and Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge, will open the metropolitan Italian restaurant in June at 36 E. Lincoln St. The "red sauce joint" honors Lieberman's New York roots and his father (a Mets fan), featuring classic appetizers, salads, pastas and wood-fired entreesโ€”though notably, no pizza. The two-floor space maintains many features from Lieberman's previous restaurant Hiraeth, with The Bar at Metsi's upstairs and Metsi's Wood-Fired Italian on the lower level.
