Of the 830 employees laid off, approximately 312 would qualify for assistance under these guidelines. The first million-dollar disbursement is scheduled for January, with the remaining $4.5 million to be distributed over five years.

The graduates are now eligible to take the national licensing exam to earn their LPN credentials, with enrollment for the next program cohort open through October 30.

River Valley's boys team also advanced to regionals with an 11th place finish, while their girls team had three individual qualifiers despite not qualifying as a team. Fairfield Union dominated both Division III competitions, winning both the boys and girls meets.
