Unioto dominated the awards with KB Perkins winning Player of the Year and Tony Taylor earning Coach of the Year honors. The Unioto team also claimed the league championship with a perfect 14-0 record, placing multiple players across the First and Second Teams.

Nate Ewing from Waverly won an award in the 2024 Asgrow Brand National Yield Contest with 88 bushels per acre using Asgrow AG39XF3 Brand. The annual competition encourages farmers to push soybean yield limits while testing innovative agricultural practices. Among the 56 farmers receiving awards, 20 achieved yields exceeding 100 bushels per acre. The contest, which began in 2012, provides farmers opportunities to learn about the latest technologies and management practices for advancing agricultural production.
🚓 Chillicothe police tackle 14 incidents in single Saturday. The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of calls on June 1, 2025, including burglaries, thefts, and hit-skip incidents across Ross County. Officers handled cases ranging from a midnight hit-skip at Roosters to a public indecency report at North Bridge Street and multiple juvenile complaints. The day's incidents also included drug-related complaints, domestic disputes, and a missing person report, with investigations continuing for all unresolved cases.
