The Vietnam-era Army veteran and longtime coal company employee passed away April 2 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Throughout his life, Stevens worked various jobs from the Dairy Corner in his youth to 27 years at Southern Ohio Coal Company, continuing with small construction projects even after retirement. An avid sports fan and outdoorsman, he enjoyed caring for his cattle, dirt track racing, hunting, and golf, while faithfully attending Jackson First Church of the Nazarene. Stevens is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia, along with his daughter, grandsons, siblings, and extended family.
