The 83-year-old Marysville resident passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, surrounded by family after dedicating over 50 years to Bunsold Plumbing and Heating. Born on the family farm in 1942, Dan carried his love for rural life throughout his years, often driving his red truck through the countryside. A lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cheryl, along with children, grandchildren, and great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held at his church on October 29.
🎵 Beloved music teacher Donna Bates leaves behind a melodious legacy. The 92-year-old West Mansfield resident passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, surrounded by family at Bluebird of Marysville. A dedicated educator who taught elementary music at Benjamin Logan Schools, Donna was also a longtime organist at West Mansfield Methodist Church, earning induction into the church's Music Hall of Fame. After graduating from Urbana University in 1973, she found her true calling inspiring young musicians, while also remaining active in community organizations. She is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and multiple great-grandchildren, having shared 68 years of marriage with her late husband Bernie.
