Good morning, Union County. There's something profoundly symbolic about a new pavilion rising at North Lewisburg Ball Park—a gathering place where community connections strengthen under open skies. Memorial Health's sponsorship of this picturesque structure demonstrates how thoughtful additions to public spaces can transform the everyday experience of residents. With its panoramic views and welcoming picnic tables, the pavilion stands ready to host countless family memories in the making.
In neighboring Delaware, an ambitious renovation is turning a former restaurant into what could become the city's premier wine destination, complete with a rooftop patio offering stunning downtown views. The project promises to make fine wines more accessible through interactive technology that educates as it serves. Meanwhile, our community mourns the loss of 82-year-old Brenda Farley of Mechanicsburg, who tragically lost her life in a head-on collision on Route 36 over the weekend.

🍷 Delaware's newest wine bar promises a stunning rooftop experience. The former J. Gumbo's building at 39 E. William St. will be transformed into an accessible wine destination with a rooftop patio offering incredible downtown views. Owner John Cordas aims to make wine less intimidating with interactive technology that educates customers about each bottle's origin and tasting notes. The establishment will also serve tapas-style food and could become a popular special events venue. Historic Preservation Commission members expressed enthusiasm for the project, which received approval during Wednesday's meeting.
