🚗 Local auto empire expands with dealership acquisition trifecta. Chesrown Automotive has purchased three Sidney dealerships from fellow Central Ohio-based Germain Motor Co. This transaction represents a significant growth move for the Chesrown family's automotive retail business. The deal continues a trend in the auto dealer industry where companies are acquiring competitors to extend their reach and add new vehicle brands. This acquisition follows other recent automotive retail expansions in the Central Ohio region, including a new Mercedes-Benz dealership planned for Sunbury.
🔌 Memorial Health unveils two new EV charging stations in Marysville. The stations, located in a visitor parking lot off Plum Street at the main hospital campus, were made possible by a 2024 contribution from Honda. This initiative addresses the growing demand for alternative fuel infrastructure in Union County, where 715 registered alternative fuel vehicles exist, with 93% of them in Marysville alone. The charging stations are accessible 24 hours a day and are designed to work with all alternative fuel vehicles requiring charging. Users are asked to move their vehicles once charging is complete to allow others to utilize the stations.
