Good morning, Summit County. October is shining a spotlight on Akron's creative community as the Black Artist Guild's signature exhibition "Outlined in Black" returns for its fourth year. This two-day celebration of visual arts, performances and storytelling arrives just in time for the city's Bicentennial festivities, culminating in the premiere of "Our Eyes See the Sun," a documentary showcasing local BIPOC artists that promises to expand perspectives across our community.

Meanwhile, a concerning incident at The Drake apartment complex serves as a sobering reminder about personal safety when meeting new acquaintances, with police still searching for two suspects. And in Coshocton County, a teenage motorcyclist is fighting for his life following a dangerous wheelie stunt gone wrong—a heartbreaking situation that underscores how quickly thrill-seeking behaviors can turn tragic, especially on our winding country roads.
