Good morning, Summit County. Turning personal tragedy into community impact is the hallmark of true champions. That's exactly what Akron Children's Hospital is celebrating with its inaugural "More Childhood, Please Awards," honoring ten remarkable individuals and organizations making extraordinary differences in children's lives – from a family who created a safe sleep program after losing their infant daughter to a brain tumor survivor now mentoring others through similar journeys.
Meanwhile, Summit County's business landscape continues to expand with Big Frog Custom T-Shirts and More preparing to open in Stow. The mother-daughter team of Megan and Kate Oyster are bringing on-site printing capabilities with cutting-edge technology for custom designs. And for those looking ahead to 2026 entertainment, mark your calendars – "King of Queens" star Kevin James will bring his "Eat The Frog" comedy tour to the Akron Civic Theatre on March 6, with tickets available starting September 19.
