🏛️ Ugly courthouse club

Good morning, Summit County. Akron's Municipal Courthouse has earned a dubious distinction, landing at #6 on America's architectural shame list according to a national survey of 3,000 participants. Critics suggest you won't be seeing this concrete creation on any postcards soon, though it falls short of Flint Michigan's Municipal Center, which claimed the unfortunate top spot as the nation's ugliest public building.

In more uplifting news, Akron Children's Hospital is transforming school healthcare through partnerships with Marietta and Belpre City School Districts. Their innovative program brings nurse practitioners directly into schools, allowing children to receive medical care without missing class time or requiring parents to leave work. The service now reaches 44 Ohio school districts, offering everything from basic exams to vaccinations – proving that sometimes the best healthcare solutions are the ones that meet families exactly where they are.

🏥 Akron Children's brings healthcare directly to Ohio schools. The hospital's new partnership with Marietta and Belpre City School Districts allows nurse practitioners to provide medical services in school buildings. With parental consent, children can receive exams and treatment either in person or through telehealth, helping diagnose and treat conditions like ear infections without leaving school. The program saves both school time for students and work time for parents who would otherwise need to transport children to medical appointments. Akron Children's now serves 44 school districts across Ohio, with some offering wellness visits, screenings, and vaccinations.
