Good morning, Scioto County. Medical expertise in our region just received a significant boost with Dr. Timothy Demshar joining KDMS General Surgery. The osteopathic surgeon brings specialized skills in treating everything from thyroid conditions to digestive tract issues, expanding healthcare options for residents who previously might have traveled hours for such specialized care.
Meanwhile, our corner of Appalachia steps onto the global cultural stage this Tuesday as Armfolk, a talented ensemble of young Armenian performers, brings their international tour to Ironton. While their morning show will engage high school students, everyone can enjoy their free public performance at 5:30 p.m. at the Ironton Farmers Market. For travelers heading into Kentucky, take note: guardrail installation on KY 3307 has been rescheduled to August 28-29, requiring detours via U.S. 23 and KY 2 during daytime hours.
