🍫 Chocolate for cause

Scioto County • March 10, 2025

Good morning, Scioto County. Mark your calendars for April 12th – chocolate paradise is returning to Ashland! The 26th Annual Chocolate Extravaganza isn't just a sugar rush; it's a lifeline for Hope's Place, which served over 1,600 children and families dealing with trauma last year. For just $10, you can sample full-size treats from local bakeries while supporting critical services that help our community's most vulnerable members.

The spirit of community extends beyond sweet treats this month. Hickory Grove Church is opening its doors for three evenings of revival services March 12-14, followed by what will become a monthly Gospel Songfest tradition. Meanwhile, Russell's young entrepreneurs are proving business acumen starts early – their student-led companies Unbridled Creations and Alissa's Cheesecakes recently swept top honors at Shawnee State's "Dare to Dream" competition, showcasing both creativity and commercial savvy that would impress even seasoned business veterans.
