Good morning, Ross County. The weekend brought more than just October winds to Chillicothe—it delivered a whirlwind of activity for local law enforcement. Police officers across the city found themselves responding to a remarkable surge of incidents, from burglaries and thefts to hit-skip crashes, all while conducting traffic stops that netted citations for driving under suspension. Even familiar establishments like Kroger and Dollar Tree weren't immune to the weekend's wave of reported incidents.

While officers investigated unauthorized vehicle use on Columbus Street and issued a summons for criminal trespass at Sherman Park, the department continues working through several ongoing cases. The flurry of weekend activity serves as a reminder of the continuous, often unseen efforts of local law enforcement to maintain order throughout our community, regardless of the day of the week or time on the clock.
